Camryn Carr
Undergraduate Students
Camryn is an undergraduate majoring in Environmental Science with an Geoscience Emphasis and is broadly interested in water quality. Her current research looks to better understand solute loading patterns in two high mountain watersheds. Additionally, she is investigating the Paradox Formation and its negative effects on groundwater salinity. She is excited to build on her early field experiences through hands-on work this summer. She enjoys being outside as much as possible, reading, creating, and cuddling with her dog!
Ellis Foster
Ellis is an undergraduate student majoiring in Geospatial Information Science. He is currently working to apply GIS and remote sensing techniques to study water systems and landscape change in the Mountain West, with a focus on drone-based monitoring and spatial analysis. He is currently working to identify correlations between riparian NDVI patterns and streamflow permanence. Aside from studying water resources in the Wasatch, Ellis also enjoys skiing them!
Elan Powless
Elan is an undergraduate senior pursuing a B.S. degree in Environmental Studies and Sutainability, and Earth Science. He is currently investigating the role of large wood in influencing stream drying patterns in mountain headwater streams. Elan is motivated to work in conservation and learn more about water resources. When he is not mapping intermittent streams, he enjoys activities such as fly fishing, backpacking, and snowboarding!
